Gary G. Peterson, Partner

Mr. Peterson received his B.A. from Harvard University in 1962. He served for six years as an officer in the United States Navy. In 1970, he received a J.D. degree from the American University. Mr. Peterson is licensed to practice law in Virginia and the District of Columbia. He serves as general manager of the firm and overseas the practice areas of Real Estate, Family Law and Personal Injury.

Mr. Peterson served for eleven years as General Counsel to the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors. He also served as a member of the Board of Governors of the Virginia State Bar and Real Property Section, and as a real estate law instructor at the Northern Virginia Community College. He speaks to a variety of groups on the subject of real estate law. Mr. Peterson has been given the highest rating (AV) from the nationally renowned attorney rating service, Martindale-Hubbell.

Alison K. Noll, Partner

Ms. Noll was born in Washington, D.C. and is a life long resident of the D.C. Metropolitan Area. She received her B.S. summa cum laude from James Madison University in 1988 where she was named Outstanding Student in Public Administration. Ms. Noll received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1992 and is licensed to practice law in Maryland and Virginia.

Ms. Noll concentrates her practice in Estate Planning, Corporate and Business Law, Estate Administration, Taxation, and Real Estate. Ms. Noll served as the Co-Chairperson for the Wills, Estates and Trust Section of the Fairfax Bar Association in 1996-1998.

Bernard E. Goodman, Partner

Mr. Goodman received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University. He is admitted in Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Ohio. Mr. Goodman oversees the Civil Litigation, Corporate Law and Commercial Real Estate practice areas.

Mr. Goodman specializes in resolution of Business and Construction Disputes, Mechanics Liens, Real Estate, Foreclosure, and Contract, Corporate and Employment Disputes. He litigates in state and federal courts and frequently does appellate work in the Virginia Supreme Court. He is often called upon to give expert testimony on the topics of real estate law and attorneys fees. Mr. Goodman has served as Chairman of the Judicial Screening, Long Range Planning and Professionalism Committees of the Fairfax Bar Association. George A. Hawkins, Partner

Mr. Hawkins received a B.A. from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1992 and his J.D. from George Washington University Law School in 1996. He is admitted to practice in Maryland and Virginia. Mr. Hawkins focuses his practice on business representation and litigation, real estate law and family law matters.

Mr. Hawkins represents buyers, sellers and developers in all phases of residential and commercial real estate transactions. He also advises and counsels businesses in all aspects ranging from the formation, acquisition and management of the business entity. He is a published chapter editor for The Virginia Lawyer: A Deskbook for Practitioners, "Representing Debtors and Creditors."

Daniel J. O’Connell, Associate

Mr. O’Connell received an A.B. in 1967 from Georgetown University. He subsequently studied at the University of Grenoble in France and then returned to Georgetown to earn his J.D. in 1975. He is admitted in Virginia and the District of Columbia and specializes in Civil Litigation, Personal Injury Law, Insurance Law and Real Estate Law.

Mr. O’Connell represents clients in disputes in Virginia state and federal courts. He is a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the Fairfax Bar Association.

Michelle S. Jacobs, Associate

Ms. Jacobs received her B.A. from the University of Florida in 2002. She graduated from the Washington College of Law at American University in 2005. While there, she worked as an extern in the Department of Justice Transnational and Major Crimes Division and as a Student Attorney in the Federal Tax Litigation Clinic.

Ms. Jacobs is admitted in Virginia and devotes her practice to the areas of estate planning and business planning. She is a member of the Prince William County Bar Association.
